Position Summary:

The Worship Leader will serve to create and keep a culture of worship at Dream Center Church of Sacramento by leading the congregation corporately, with the help of the Holy Spirit, and intentional alignment of our vision and values. This position is responsible for the musical and spiritual leadership of the worship team and the overall worship experience. The position is unpaid internship for approximately 6 hours per week including Sundays & practice days.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Assistant in worship leading (Sundays): Assist in worship set during Sunday services (approx. 6 hours/week including setup, practice, soundcheck, and teardown).
Team Practice & Preparation: Coordinate during worship team practices to ensure musical and spiritual readiness.
Team Building: Recruit, train, and cultivate a worship team of musicians and vocalists. Foster unity and creative collaboration within the team.
Spiritual Leadership: Encourage a worship culture rooted in prayer, scripture, and a pursuit of God’s presence.
Song Selection & Coordination: Select songs that align with the message and season. Coordinate with the leadership and media teams.
Vision & Goal Setting: Partner with leadership to set quarterly goals for growth, team development, and special services.
Assist leadership team with leading elements and flow of Sunday Service and in other key areas.

Able to lead vocally and instrumentally (guitar or keyboard preferred ).
Willing to commit to the vision and values of Dream Center Church

Time Commitments:

Approx. 6 hours per week

4 hours for Sunday worship, practice, and prep
1 hour for planning, communication, or team coordination
2 (2-hour) rehearsals per month

Potential Schedule:

Sundays

8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Practice Days

6 – 8 p.m.
